Sydney Water contract to recycle biosolids

Transpacific has been awarded a contract with Sydney Water to recycle biosolids.
The Sydney Water contract involves the beneficial use of 65,000 tonnes of biosolids from five treatment plants in Sydney
A large portion of these biosolids will go to the agricultural industry as a soil amendment material, and some will be given an alternative beneficial use, either as a material in mine site rehabilitation or use as a fertiliser in the forestry industry.
Transpacific manages the collection and transport of the biosolids and uses specialised equipment to spread the material. All biosolids are managed in accordance with Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water Environmental Guidelines.
